Investigadores académicos estrenan un archivo digital creado por estudiantes universitarios y fanáticos voluntarios para documentar la historia del fútbol en el Valle de San Joaquín y examinar cómo la migración ha dado forma a la cultura del fútbol en estas comunidades de trabajadores agrícolas. El organizador del archivo comenta sobre la actual fiebre de la Copa del Mundo que embarga a las comunidades latinas y la forma en que las comunidades inmigrantes están transformando el juego de las patadas.
